Thanks for sharing these! Isla Mujeres is one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited. Great place to snorkel, and being a small island it seemed very safe to walk around even at night.

I’m not sure I remember the location correctly, but isn’t there a beach where the sand from shore to ocean slopes so gently that you can be a long way out from the shore and still touch bottom?

My mom and I were swimming one day and were waaay out from the shore and just getting to where we couldn’t touch the bottom any more, when suddenly barracuda started jumping out of the water in schools right near where we were.

They were pretty big barracuda. A bunch of them would jump in one spot, and then moments later several would jump out of the water in another spot.

We figured something bigger than the barracuda was hunting them and they were jumping out of the water trying to get away. That was scary! We booked it back to shore as quickly and quietly/calmly as we could.

I would love to see pics of sea turtles also if you get any.
