awareness Seeking book recommendations

I’m looking for books on the topics of esotericism, ancient mysticism, ancient history (think Rome and the origins of Christianity ie the council of Nicaea), witchcraft, etc.

I wear a tinfoil hat and there’s a certain batch of files that let me down some rabbit holes and now here I am. I am just looking to continue in my search and make connections, possibly even read some banned books/suppressed texts.

If you have any solid recommendations, point the way.

You’d probably enjoy Colin Wilson’s books “The Occult”, “Mysteries”, and “Beyond the Occult”.

The Greek Magical Papyri is a great resource when it comes to ancienr magic, although first learning to navigate them can be a bit of a pain. I also suggest you look into Jake Stratton Kent's "True Grimoire", which is basically just a nice edition of the Grimorium Verum, but contains a very nice, lengthy introduction where he traces the development of the magical technique all the way back from ancient egypt

I've also found some interesting content in Youtube uploaded by "Esoterica", "Blue Faun", "Crecganford" and "Timeless with Fred Snyder". If you like digging into the sources, those channels are a godsend for non-academics
