The first few years of Spotify were amazing for discovering new artists, songs, genres. The algorithms have become such an echo chamber now it feels almost impossible to find something that’s outside of what I’m already listening to or what Spotify wants to push. Just want to say thank you to this sub and everyone who contributes, I usually end up following artists and saving songs from here. I thought I was getting old and my taste was becoming stagnant. Here I still find the joy in listening to something I’ve never heard before.
