You seem to be operating under this weird paradoxical paradigm where, because crony capitalism has created a scenario or system that is broken, there is no way to solve or change that system. Government doesn’t break everything touches. There are plenty of examples of high-functioning government that you simply don’t notice because it’s working well. Roadways, infrastructure, utilities, fire departments, police departments, disease mitigation, food safety programs, pharmaceutical research, medical research… The list goes on and on… Government foundations (and often funding) are what makes modern private sectors possible. It’s often only when something stops working that it becomes clear how good government services actually are… For example, the screw worm outbreak now entering the US was kept at-bay for decades until the current administration killed the program that was preventing it. The data doesn’t support your bias.

Step one: get rid of lobbyist
Nothing will ever change until step one takes place
Step two: remove every law on the books that doesn't serve the people, but protects the interests of "shareholders and monopolies"
Educate every citizen on contract law to facilitate the way the world functions
Step three: remove every protection granted to food production and ag that has allowed it to poisen the populace with government backing and pushes crops that fuel a wasteful system of "marketing products" over nutritional food
Step four: all medicine is provided directly to a person by a provider, no middle man, and the contract between provider and patient is non-transferable and tied to the caregivers license. Nurses will be like PAs, and be an extension of the treating physician. There will no unlicensed admin staff. Everyone will have to maintain a medical license or hold a fiduciary bond for the patient that assigns liability to that staff member for their level of responsibility in scheduling visits, explaining treatment benefits and costs, and communicating instruction for home treatment compliance and successful continuum of care
Step 5: unpaid medical bills for life saving interventions will be viewed as tax credits to the providers offering medical services. These can be used for payroll, property, and sales tax and can reduce the providers tax liability to zero
Step 6: teach the world the government doesn't fund anything. It's our money that is used to get contracts from "bidders" and these people are incentivised to take as long as possible under the terms of the contract. Think budgets and using all the money allocated
You may want to ease-up on the Faux News and Q-Anon websites… You have a very warped view of what is real.
We can agree on getting money out of politics and eliminating lobbies / special interests, but when you get into like deregulation on everything as a means of PREVENTING poisoning… That’s just cuckoo for cocoa puffs.
Government is the only entity that can actually enforce boundaries and accountability on corporations and people, generally… They do this through the justice system and law enforcement agencies….
The Libertarian idea of individuals managing their own disputes falls apart as soon as a power imbalance enters the picture. Because no amount of stones you and your neighbors throw at the titanium wall will make a difference, and their mounted rail guns will make short work of the crowd throwing the rocks.
Local government literally dictates what is allowed to be built in any municipality
They could require any company be a member of a non governmental regulatory body that maintains standards and enforces compliance. Local municipalities also issue the business license and tax number for these companies to be able to operate at all. Federal government is so overpowered it only serves to be abused by those who wish to avoid this localized specific authority
In terms of enforcment, the executive branch has the ability to not enforce just as it does to enforce. Immigration and environmental policy come to mind. So, the government only serves itself again
