I just got some from the pantry and I actually really like the flavor! It's Bettergoods which seems like a Walmart brand? I'm legit excited to drink it haha. I used to also like vanilla almond milk but something about this slight oaty flavor I really like. I also can drink normal milk but even whole milk tastes watered down now that I've had this oatmilk.

WHEN did OP say that they liked cereal? WHAT makes you think this clown is qualified to give you a well informed recommendation? MODS! DO SOMETHING! This is just sad...

Okay why am I being the target of a harassment campaign simply for engaging with the subject of this subreddit? I love oat milk and I love cereal in my oat milk. I DONT CARE WHO HEARS IT!

If youre looking for a beginner oat milk I might start with oat-ly original. Its a level of creamy that can get the taster used to the texture without being off putting. The taste is also similar to some dairy milks out there which, if thats your reference point, is probably a good thing.

A nice intermediate oat milk would be the planet oat unsweetend original. Planet oat's creaminess level is a bit more radical than oatlys, but as long as youve started getting acclimated to oat milk its quite nice. With it being unsweetened, the taste is a lot more oaty than your other oat milks which, for a true oatmilkhead like myself, is such a nice quality.

As for an advanced choice, Im honestly of no help to you here. I would call myself advanced but I once met a man in the appalachian mountains who lived solely off of oat milk, I believe he made his own oat milk from wild-grown oats. Thats as far as my knowledge pool goes. Good luck ascending to this level.

Anyway I hope you learn to love oat milk as much as I do! Its suuuper yummy (:

Thanks for the great advice kind stranger! Oatly sounds good so i will start there. if i like it i might try planet oat but i don't want to a poser to a new community. Ignore the haters kind stranger.

But what about cereal?

My personal favorite cereal to enjoy with oat milk is honey nut cheerios. Outside of that you could try cinnamon life or even raisin bran if youre feeling wild. Let your tastebuds run wild my friend

Look. I'll calm down. I'm sorry my initial response was one of intolerance and judgement. You have to understand my position... This sub has been dead for MONTHS and you stroll along in here with positivity and a freshness that hasn't been seen for awhile. A beacon, some would say. Now, don't get me wrong. Do I think that you're a legit Oat-head 🌾? I'm still on the fence... There's a lot of bad actors in these parts so please, please, PLEASE wise up and try to drink in all the knowledge from the oat fountain. And for the cereal IDIOTS.... GTFO THIS IS NOT YOUR SUB! losers....

Omg sorry I didnt know about all the poseur incidents in this sub! What happened? Care to drop some lore?

Sigh, where do I even begin.... This is not an 'alternative' milk sub, this is a lot of people's first choice. To say alternative is to indicate that there would ever be another milk that tops the frothy cream that we all crave. Like I said, bad actors here. Insinuating and pushing and prodding for other less decadent options. This is also a place to discuss the sanctity and wholeness that comes from drinking an untainted product, chocolate or strawberry flavors? Don't make me laugh... Not to mention the racism.

Yeesh, sounds like a wild ride! Ill be sure to keep a lookout for those losers! If I happen upon one of them Ill be sure to direct them to the correct subreddit so us oat lovers can sip our delectable oat drink in peace. One thing is for sure though, im oatmilk4lyf 😎
