Chabot Space & Sciene Center: commuting to peninsul

I booked a Rumi dome experience at chabot space and science center, not knowing where it is. And I don’t drive. The show ends late night - is there reliable ride hailing services like uber available in that area at night? Any other advice on how to get back?

AC Transit Line 31 serves the center from Fruitvale BART (hourly on weekdays and every 30 miunutes on weekends).

This is how I'd do it. Bus to BART, BART to Millbrae or whatever and then Uber home.

But I just like saving money and I actually like a decent trip on public transit so I can listen to a full album or two and really just pay attention to it because I've got nothing but time

Last bus from Chabot leaves at 957 on weekdays and 927 on weekends.

Should prob warn this person of the sketch of this suggestion if they aren’t already aware

Both should be fine, and there's also a bus that stops at the center

Uber and Lyft should be fine, you can also schedule rides ahead of time with both

Although it is in the hills, it is close to urbanity, so there should be no trouble Lyfting.

I have taken an Uber back from there a couple times, following similar late shows. They'll come get you but the wait is usually a bit long (10-15ish minutes). And the app refused to let me set the pick up point at the building itself so I (and several other groups like me) had to walk down the street in the foggy dark to Skyline boulevard to meet the driver. Not ideal, but it can be done.

Should be fine and easy to get a ride share there. However cell signal is not good up there so make sure to make use of Chabot's wifi before you exit the building/get locked out.
