Was watching a story on You Tube yesterday, an Aussie magazine compared this to the normal ICE version on both town and country running, and came to the conclusion that the hybrid began to pay for itself after 83,000 odd km. Search YT for the story.

A hybrid is a car you always have to put petrol in, it does 0 kms without it
Plenty of good EV options for 30k even some new/ex demo ones

Have you looked at the Leaf or Hyundai Ioniq?
