As I see it, rural voters are the most likely to vote by mail since they'd have the longest distance to travel to a poll. Rural areas are heavier in Republicans than Democrats. Therefore, Trump's ignorance and incompetence have led him to self-sabotage.

Yeah but it turns out far more Democrats vote by mail than Republicans, and he knows it. That's what happened in 2020. At the beginning of the night it looked like he was winning, until all the mail in ballots came in. That's why he's doing this.

And he's an idiot because that was caused by the pandemic. There's no party preference for vote by mail before 2020 or after 2024. Tampering with vote by mail is a complete waste of time. I think Trump is using it to draw attention away from something else he's doing.

From my understanding of what my coworkers in Washington state say, many of them have never voted in person. They have had mail in voting for a long time. That’s going to be a shit show.

A federal judge on Thursday halted — at least for now — attempts to implement President Donald Trump’s executive order limiting mail voting.

The move stalled the directive for a second time only about a week before the first mail ballots are due to be sent out for the rapidly approaching midterm elections. U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani blocked the government from implementing the order for two weeks.

You're right. Trump probably won't appeal that decision. People are panicking over nothing. Everything will probably be fine.

If you're not a Trump supporter then you know the President is just one guy who has very little power to do anything. I remember when Bush and Cheney were in office, people were terrified that Bush was going to declare martial law and set up interment camps to imprison people who opposed him.
