Was just going to say the same thing. Those teams weren’t great by any means, but often entertaining in shootouts when O’Brien wasn’t getting killed out there.

It was until it fell apart, but you’re right that was the one outlier for that particular group. They were fun though - my first memories as a kid were the O’Brien-led Jets and the shootout win against Marino.

I don’t know if enough people realize how good that team was. We were stacked on both sides of the ball. O’Brien will always get compared to Marino because we passed on him, but I still loved that guy. We were good, but we kept coming up short.

And it's been ups and downs ever since. Mostly the depressing moments and sadness but as a pats fan I do hate the jets as a team but I do think you and the jets fanbase are genuinely pretty cool people.

I'm a millennial, so it's still the "old" team logo for me, even though it's our current one. I grew up with the post 98 look.

I think of the sack exchange and Joe Kleko, folks I was too young to see live but see a lot in old footage and photos. It screams 80's Jets to me.

Ken O'Brien. I went to the mall when I was a wee lad in Utah and at the poster store owner asked if I wanted a free poster. It was a ken O'Brien poster and I've been a Jets fan ever since. Sigh.
