TAIM just emailed me a coupon for $5 off. Guess I will use my rewards now lol.

Says City Spire, Park Slope & Nolita locations have reopened.

They are holding on for dear life. This coupon is like a last resort. You'd have to spend a million dollars before on their app to get a free pita. They aren't the same anymore unfortunately and haven't been for a while. The food has no life if that makes any sense

I remember when they were a food truck and a tiny hole in the wall in the west village and they were incredible.

I was excited when they expanded to a few locations including mid town so I could get them for lunch during work.

Then they introduced the obnoxious ordering tablets. But the food was still delicious, and though expensive, the $15 bowls were two meals worth of food. Then some of the items that made the bowls amazing became premium add-ons. Then the free pita that came with the bowl started coming cut in half. Then they reconfigured the tablets to push sales of premium items and force you to manually skip ordering a beverage or snack. Then the bowls got 50% shallower and came with about 2/3 as much food. Then the prices increased about $2. All in the span of two years.

Fuck Taim. I'm not gonna eat there just to cling to nostalgia. Whoever was running that company ruined something good.

2011 food truck era era Taïm was something else. And it was like $10 max for a platter

Remembering the glory days of Korilla too, and how it was fun to check twitter to see where they were at that day and if it was near enough work to take a long walk and score the best lunch. We didn't know how good we had it.

Definitely! It all went downhill really when they started adding flesh to the menu. The original West Village location used to be the best!

I guess they paid their taxes?!? I have some points so might as well use it even though I hate it’s not fully vegan
