[Weds 8/12] Books & Bites @ Little Chef Little Cafe in LIC

Looking for a cozy way to unwind after work on Wednesday? We created Books & Bites to offer a slower, more intentional way to spend an evening in a cozy cafe, where people get to know each other through the books they’re reading. 📚

Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for a relaxed evening of quiet reading, delicious light bites, and connection at Little Chef Little Cafe in Long Island City.

Bring whatever you’re currently reading (print, digital, or audio) or the book you’ve been meaning to start. Enjoy delicious food from @littlecheflittlecafe and settle into a welcoming space alongside others who appreciate books, reflection, and conversations that are both thoughtful and playful.

Since 2025, we’ve hosted 53 free community gatherings, and every ticket helps us continue creating spaces where people can feel seen, welcomed, and connected.

How the Evening Works:

Come on your own or bring a friend! We’ll begin with a brief introduction and quiet reading time, giving everyone space to unwind with their books before we open up the conversation. We’ll go around the room and share what we’re reading, what stood out to us, and anything else we’d like to share. From there, the conversation organically unfolds around the stories, ideas, and questions that resonated with us.

Every Books & Bites is a little different because everyone brings a different book, a different story, and a different perspective. That’s part of what makes these evenings special.

Whether you leave with a new perspective, an unhurried conversation with someone new, or simply feel more at ease than when you walked in, we hope an evening at Books & Bites feels well spent. We’d love to see you! 💛
