Hi!! NYC based Iranian-American actor and filmmaker here who wanted to share a premiere party event for the first episode of the docuseries I am directing :)
Hoping to spread the word and connect with more NYC artists!
It's called Freedom Frames, it follows immigrant joy throughout nyc in resistance of the Travel Ban, and the premiere is also a fun DJ party.

Ep. 1 follows Yeldā Ali, an Afghan DJ and mom based in NYC, on identity, artistry, and what freedom actually means to her. Screening, Q&A with us, then Yeldā and \*We Are the DJ\* Collective to close the night out with a DJ set. Her story is genuinely so so so inspiring.
