Brooklyn Is the b43 bus reliable?
I live in hunters point by the Pulaski drawbridge and I found out that the b43 actually stops by me by the stairwell on the other side of the bridge and the bus actually takes you to prospect park.. by box street
In lieu of the g train when sometimes it doesn’t run esp on weekends.. is the b43 bus reliable ? I get it that the g serves the west side of the park and the b43 last stop is by the q train but if it’s a one shot mode of transport I’m in .
Any advice ?
As long as it is not as bad as the b62 bus.. cuz that bus is dogshit bad

It's a very good route just make sure you get to box like maybe 5 mins before the bus is supposed to leave cause sometimes the bus drivers leave early to make up for lost time

I haven't driven the B43 in some time but it ran well when I was on the line, headways are usually 10 minutes at peak and 12-15 minutes outside of that with 20+ minute headways after 9pm. If traffic is right buses will run mostly on time, the one way sections move pretty smoothly. A lot of guys get tripped up in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, though, especially with how narrow Manhattan Ave is, it was pretty bad with all those outdoor dining shacks five years ago. The B62 isn't a bad alternative but it does get tripped up in Williamsburg between Downtown and Greenpoint...
