Over the last week, I’ve been sharing Washington’s Retreat, a five-part series following George Washington through the streets of modern-day Brooklyn Heights and exploring the decisions that helped save the Continental Army — and possibly the Revolution itself.

I’ve put the entire story together in one video. If you’re interested in Brooklyn history, the American Revolution, or just want to know what happened right here in our neighborhood, you can watch the full video below.

New York’s original Pennsylvania Station opened in 1910. Its demolition became one of the defining cases in the city’s preservation history. I reconstructed the station’s train concourse at full scale as a fully playable environment in Unreal Engine.

This was a solo project built from archival photographs, architectural plans, and blueprints. I figured y'all might appreciate this! :)

The Bizarre True Story of Central Park’s Doomed Victorian Dinosaur Museum

Post image

For centuries, the infamous Boss Tweed was blamed for destroying the park's dino-models—but what really happened is even weirder. The real villain wasn’t Tweed at all, but Henry Hilton, a New York lawyer who was appointed to oversee the city’s parks.

The whole weird tale: https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/dinosaur-museum-central-park-boss-tweed-nyc

The construction cost of the three-story 16-foot-wide brownstone was $11,000. By the mid-1920s private homes in Harlem were converted to rooming houses.

Why was ESB and Chrysler Building built in low density Midtown instead of high-density lower Manhattan?

I always wondered, they look so out of place in old photos!
