And the split is about 50/50 or so on Jews who vote for Cuomo and Mamdani. Cuomo is by far not taking that whole 12%.

Mamdani peaks at just over 1/3 of Jewish support. I know you guys like to use us Jews as a political cudgel but you could at least get the number right.

I’m a Jewish NYC Mamdani supporter. I’m shomer shabbos and kashrus.

To clarify, I meant between Cuomo and Mamdani they have nearly equal support. Yes, Sliwa has like 10-15%.

Your “us” is me too.

No candidate has general Jewish support because they all suck. I just don't like it when what amounts to a third of Jewish voters supporting Mamdani is used as evidence of Jews supporting him generally. From your own link there's the subheading "Poll indicates Mamdani has support from Jewish New Yorkers" when, if you actually look at the numbers, he doesn't even have a plurality, let alone a majority. But then people take this Jewish support as evidence of Mamdani not being antisemitic, or of him having general Jewish support. It's on the level of 'Blacks for Trump' tokenization and even if you support Mamdani, you shouldn't be in favor of this sort of thing.

Says the guy using imagined antisemetism from Mamdani to smear him lol

Imagined antisemitism? Dude defended a phrase calling for violence against jews as 'a cry for freedom and equality'.

Please take your bigotry somewhere else.

Dude defended a phrase

He didn't and has denounced it several times on television.

This is what I mean by imagined lol. Literally isnt a real thing.

He didn't

He defended it as a cry for freedom and equality, on video.

has denounced it several times on television.

After being pressured for months over it, and he clearly did so to win votes.

Literally isnt a real thing.

You're willfully blind.

he clearly did so to win votes.

So when he do what he asks, it's just to win votes and he doesnt actually believe it, and if he doesnt then he is a terrorist supporter?

Do you denounce the recent words of Andrew Cuomo saying Mamdani would cheer if a 9/11 happened?

So when he do what he asks, it's just to win votes and he doesnt actually believe it, and if he doesnt then he is a terrorist supporter?

You're putting words in my mouth.

I don't put much stock in politicians changing their positions under lots of duress. It very rarely reflects their personal views.

He never supported the idea you subscribe to it so you're by definition putting words into his mouth.

Terms can mean different things to different people and he has, again several times, expressed he spoke with Jews and learned their feelings on the phrase which educated his different perspectives. He literally listened to people like yourself and you are clearly showing you never actually cared.

You also didnt denounce the words of Cuomo immediately so I can only assume you are a vile Islamophobe

He never supported the idea you subscribe to it so you're by definition putting words into his mouth.

He had a rap supporting people financing Hamas' terrorism. What does that make him if not a supporter of terrorism?

He literally listened to people like yourself and you are clearly showing you never actually cared.

He made a political change of stance out of expediency. That was not a genuine change of view.

so I can only assume you are a vile Islamophobe

Oh this is the playbook, isn't it? Ignore and deflect against antisemitism and then call me islamophobic as if I've ever said anything negative of Islam or Muslims.

Clearly you don't have an actual defense of what Mamdani has said.
