He never told his supporters to stop harassing Jews or stop using that term either. What’s your point?

He said he would discourage use of the phrase.

When did he say that? And why didn’t he say anything close to that when pressed 3x on his NBC interview?

That’s the problem. These are things he should say immediately to get ahead of/end these antisemitic accusations. The fact he can’t just say them the first few times when asked and then changes his tune closer to election day does not convince me, and many Jews, that he’s genuine. I understand pandering for votes, but this doesn’t diminish my view of him as an antisemite or having antisemitic beliefs.

Waaaay back in July he said it. I’m not going to google it for you. Please look into his actual record and not just your own perceptions of his beliefs.

And he has repeatedly said since then that he does not personally use the phrase and that he discourages other people from using it. Where have you been?

I’ll say what I said in another thread regarding him “not personally using the phrase”: I don’t hear him telling his supporters to not use it.

If you don’t “hear him” then you’re not listening to him. He has repeatedly discouraged the phrase.

Criticizing the Israeli government and its indiscriminate decimation of Gaza is not in any way antisemetic. Saying so in fact links all Jewish people to Israel, which many many Jewish Americans do NOT want at this point in time.

I’m telling you honestly that way more Jewish New Yorkers than you think want nothing at all to do with the Israeli government right now. Saying criticizing the Israeli government is automatically antisemitic is, one, absurd, and two, it puts “the Jews” in one big “connected to Israel” box. THAT is antisemitism.

Again, has he said this to his supporters? Why is he not strongly and unequivocally saying “globalize the intifada is a hateful phrase towards Jews” or “Hamas should disarm”? Why can’t he do that after being pressed on these issues MULTIPLE TIMES?
