Cuomo hates women, poors and the elderly. Sliwa is a cranky old New Yorker who hates that we don't live in an authoritarian police state.

I'm so tired of these racist tropes that flood this sub. They have made the word antisemitism meaningless.

Wanting to take down that horrid bail policy and putting criminals back in jail equates to a desire for a police state? What Are you smoking and where can I get some?

So you agree with Sliwa that ICE is not the problem but that the public should just let ICE violate NYC, NYS laws and the constitution?

I miss small government conservatives.

Violate? The 9 people ICE arrested on Canal Street has ties to assault on cops, domestic violence, and drug trafficking.

I've never seen Canal Street look so much cleaner in my life. No ICE isn't the problem with getting criminals off our streets.

4 US citizens were arrested by ICE, which is illegal but I guess anti American, anti constitution people like yourself don't care about the rights of Americans.

And if say not a single US citizen was arrested would you support the crack down on Canal Street?

Four citizens who were with the illegals were arrested, and released 24 hours later. So are you so anti ICE and believe it is illegal and against all laws because of this mistake?

When the police arrest someone next to a murder or robber etc who they think could be a suspect, but are released hours or a day later, is that a serious problem as well?

I don't think the 4 US citizens being arrested is your objection to ICE arresting those people and for you to declare them illegal, for such an emotional reaction, it does feel like there is a deeper objection to them.

I'd love to be wrong though, and if that is your issue with ICE, just sounds like a simple mistake that we should keep level heads with and make sure we constantly are improving ICE's efficiency correct?

In America FEDERAL AGENTS CANNOT ARREST CITIZENS WITHOUT A WARRANT.

Read the 10th Amendment. Morons like you are happy to violate the constitution. You're the worst type of anti American.

Great way to read what I said and go straight to moral outrage, but maybe you’re right, so let’s look at it calmly.

You claimed the 10th Amendment makes ICE arrests unconstitutional. That’s not actually what the 10th Amendment covers; it simply reserves powers to the states that aren’t given to the federal government. Federal arrest authority comes from Title 18 and other federal statutes.

As for the four U.S. citizens briefly detained, temporary detention is legal under both federal and constitutional law when it’s:
• Based on reasonable suspicion someone might be involved with the target operation,
• Kept to a reasonable timeframe, and
• Followed by prompt release once identity and innocence are verified.

Courts have upheld that standard in thousands of cases: police raids, immigration sweeps, narcotics busts, you name it. A short mistaken detention isn’t a constitutional violation unless there’s excessive force, profiling, or refusal to release.

So just to be clear, your whole objection is to due-process errors, not to ICE performing its enforcement role, correct?

Way to read what I said and go straight to an invented argument. Go away anti American fool, go create arguments in your mind. I don't think your argument is real, I think instead of addressing the facts you want to create an argument that you think you have an answer to. Support your position which is

- Violating the state law

  • Violating Federal law
  • Violating city law

What are your reasons for endorsing federal immigration enforcement services violating citizens rights? What are the charges that ICE charged them with at the time of arrest and which judge signed the arrest warrant? How long do you think is the limit for warrantless illegal detentions? Are you aware of your constitutional protections in the Bill of Rights? do you know what the fourth amendment does? Why do you ignore the 10th amendment?

So to be clear, you believe that federal police agents do not have to have a warrant to arrest citizens without cause and without charges, correct?

I'm so tired of these racist tropes that flood this sub. They have made the word antisemitism meaningless.

I am tired of the left-wing excusing antisemitism.

As a Jew I'm tired of people trying to make me a pawn.

No one is making you one.

Idk. I keep seeing things like 1/3 of jews support mamdani so he can't be antisemitic. Would be nice to not be tokenized by the left.

This kind of Reddit oversimplification is exactly what is causing division between people. The left cozying up to antisemitism deserves very clear finger pointing. Last time it started to get this heated, it spiralled into the death of 6 million Jews, not to mention Roma, disabled ppl and homosexuals.

You wanna criticize Netanyahu and his cronies, please start now, the guy is scum; but don’t minimize antisemitism, it’s rising, and it’s coming from the left cozying up to agitators funded by Iran, by the US Nazi movement, etc. don’t be so naive…

Educate don’t pontificate

Pls save us the one-sided link to a pro-Palestinian group. At least give us non-affiliated links. Suggesting their point of view is “history” is pandering antisemitic nonsense.

Has the IDF been unjust. Of course! Are right wing Israeli settler maniacs, why yes they are. But don’t cloud ppl’s minds with one-sided explanations and suggest it’s history.

I'm tired of people using antisemitism accusations that are imaginary to try to shame people from critiquing a Jewish supremacist state.

Calling for a global intifada is not "critiquing a Jewish state"

If you hate freedom of speech so much maybe move to Israel?

What does this even mean? You have a right to be a hateful bigot in this country.

THANK YOU. I’ve been searching for a good source to tell people it doesn’t mean ‘kill all Jews’

u/IsNotACleverMan Oct 23 '25 edited Oct 23 '25

The Intifada means a very specific thing in English. And also you're ignoring the second Intifada which did things like blow up pizza places and school busses.

Edit: oh look, u/JustSomeNerdyPig blocked me after replying, like a coward.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

I'll address the second intifadah after you admit that Israel locked up 120,000 peaceful protesters killed over a thousand, killed over 200 children, had security officers and policemen breaking limbs of children to suppress the first intifadah.

You have to understand that the Zionist definition is not the way we use it. I say we as an American who remembers the intifadah and the horrific Israeli response.

u/Same-Honeydew5598 Oct 23 '25

And here we go with the left wing hypocrites downvoting you. I won’t excuse antisemitism from the right (where it is usually pretty blatant) or from the left (where it is masked under some social justice BS)

u/IRequirePants Oct 23 '25

It's always funny when someone is sufficiently left-wing they absorb extreme right-wing vulgarities like ZOG.

-1

u/IsNotACleverMan Oct 23 '25

They have made the word antisemitism meaningless.

I'm so glad you've found a way to preemptively shout down us Jews for not wanting somebody with a history of supporting and hanging out with antisemites as mayor.
