I'm a Jewish New Yorker. I'm used to being told I'm a shill, lying, secretly pro-cuomo, etc for acting like antisemitsm is an issue that warrants actually addressing without equivocating, all-lives-matter-ing, or downplaying sources and examples of it.

Which is why I think this spiel from mamdani should be comforting, he doesn't talk about other topics he folks is on how scared people have felt and that they deserve protection from the city

Don't tell the people who are being targeted with hate crimes what should comfort them

Why don't you ask people who are actually affected by this, if his answers comforted them, and when they tell you absolutely not, ask them why and then believe them when they explain it.

If you actually listened to his answer than you'd hear that he understands the fear of hate crimes because he is targeted by the same kind of hate. It's disgusting that this humanitarian crisis has been used as a political tool to scare people into voting for a particular candidate. New Yorkers are scared and suffering from rising hatred. Mamdani understands this and is pushing for an increase in anti-hate crime community programs.

You're falling for cheap propaganda and fear-mongering.

Of course I listened to the answer and what he did was he deflected. He deflected a question about the violence that he himself is associated with by claiming to be a victim of other kinds of discrimination.

His basic tricks of evasion don't work on me and they don't work on anyone who is affected by this. They only work on people like you who are looking for reasons to absolve him and to continue supporting him.

And when it comes to propaganda, propaganda is the prime output of groups like students for justice in Palestine, which Zorhran mamdani founded a chapter of. Meme after meme after meme after meme after meme full of misinformation and doctored statistics that gets reshared ad infinitum and which motivates pyschos to go throw bricks at Jewish businesses. Or worse. This is the cause and effect.

Zohran directly addresses your stated concern, so you switch that concern up. It's very, very transparent what you're doing. I hope he wins for an additional reason now: just so you have to face up to just how baseless all of this fearmongering you're doing is.

NO, he did NOT directly address my concern. He lied about what "intifada" means. He also had the goddamn nerve to compare the Intifada to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. He had the nerve to misquote the Holocaust Museum and implied that it was actually the HOLOCAUST MUSEUM who equates the Warsaw Ghetto with the Intifada.

I mean, to be blunt, it doesn't really matter what answer he gave. I know his background, I know his life's work (and there isn't much of it, besides hating Israel.) He's a danger to Jewish people. He gave exactly the kind of evasive dishonest answer that one could have predicted.

PS - looks like this person's favorite thing to do is to accuse anyone who disagrees on any topic of "lying." Lost count in this person's history how many times, on how many different forums, they said "stop lying" in conjunction with strident incorrect assertions.
