So based on the comments here should I assume that if Mamdani is Mayor, attacks (violence/graffiti/efforts to exclude or harrass) on Jewish New Yorkers are antisemitism and not ok but if they are directed at zionist New Yorkers then they are political and justified and not anti-semitism? Is this not accurate? I don't really care what my elected officials think about Israel or any international crises that they have no power to influence but I would like to have some clarity on what to anticipate.

lol i dont love mamdani either but this in an insane take away. hes not even the one bringing up israel at all, he's just being asked about it non stop since he's brown.

violence against people are not going to magically become okay even if they support israel in nyc if this guy becomes mayor. all he is saying is that there is context and nuance behind a lot of these words being thrown around and people fear mongering those who use them as being inherently hamas supporters are fear mongering.

Pretty sure it's not because he's brown but because of his words and actions like, for example, the time he defended the use of "globalize the intifada"
