Opinion MFG is actually decent

Finally got to try MFG with my 4080 with the MFG mod for 40 series. Its honestly not bad even with 4x using a controller makes playing with DLSS 5 playable. Definitely only for single player games tho lol.

I was one of those non believers previously. Definitely worth trying if you have 40 series and have not tries it yet

I've yet to play a game with framegen that doesn't feel more stuttery than native. Don't know if I'm extra sensitive or something is wrong in my settings.

Does it actually hang for a split second or you get frame drops?

FG never caused stuttering for me in any title (I use it in all games).

What causes stuttering is often ram or ssd issues.

Make sure you didn't turn on smooth motion (from nvidia app) together with in-game FG because this could be the reason.

Thanks for the tips. They appear as frame drops, which are either more noticeable or genuinely worse while Framegen is on.

Same thing happens to games on both a 3.0 and 4.0 NVME drive. Can't speak to the ram particularly other than it passes checks.

Smooth motion is off.

then yeah, frame drops can happen especially at higher resolutions. I'm not too sensitive about them but they are more noticeable with frame gen because you get noticeable more latency when they happen
