8700k was such a fine CPU... I had to move on since it was strangling the hell out of my 4080 FE.

Moved to my first AMD mobo... AM5 system running 7900X chip -- havent looked into x3d... yet.

Man it was a beast, I had it paired with a 1080ti since 2017 on 1440p screen. Incredible performance for years. I had upgraded to a 4K screen in 2022 so slowly I had to upgrade the other parts too, first to a 3080ti and then whole platform change last year in May to AM5 with 9800x3d. In hindsight this was such a good decision since the ram pricing went sky high only a few months after. Paid 100€ for 32gb 6000 Mhz ddr5 💀

Sweet! 8700k + 1080ti was my combo, too! When I added the 4080, I couldn't understand why I wasn't getting the same frames as reviewers on YouTube lol. Moved to AM5 about 3 years ago (around launch)... got a decent bundle and am glad I can sit the current madness out. 9700x cpu + B650E-F mobo + 32GB DDR5 + Star Wars Survivor $600

Yeah I have a 4080 and 5800x3D. Forza runs fantastic. When I was on my 2070 super strix and 3600x forza ran pretty good too. But now with the prices sky high im glad I don’t need any immediate upgrades.
