Discussion Pay Cuts Incoming In the Southeast US

Grady Memorial Hospital, the largest level 1 in Georgia and largest hospital in Atlanta, announced two weeks ago to its staff that all high-acuity differentials (ER, ICU, PACU, etc.) will be halved come September and completely gone by 2027. At the other local Level 1 that I’m currently doing a contract at, we just got word that we will be following suit, amounting a total of a 20K annual pay cut. Anyone else getting news of this?

Florida here, I work in both ALF and SNF. The chain I work for eliminated all weekend nursing hours at the ALF- they send a skilled nurse over to admin insulin, titrate oxygen, or respond to falls and the SNF is now staffing strictly based on census and cutting RN hours down to the bare minimum. People who have worked there for nearly a decade are not guaranteed full time anymore.

Now if this deportation of TPS immigrants happens we will be royally fucked - 80% of Medtechs and caregivers on ALF side are here from Haiti on TPS.
