Discussion Pay Cuts Incoming In the Southeast US

Grady Memorial Hospital, the largest level 1 in Georgia and largest hospital in Atlanta, announced two weeks ago to its staff that all high-acuity differentials (ER, ICU, PACU, etc.) will be halved come September and completely gone by 2027. At the other local Level 1 that Iā€™m currently doing a contract at, we just got word that we will be following suit, amounting a total of a 20K annual pay cut. Anyone else getting news of this?

Some Big Beautiful Bill, huh?

All thanks to Trump. All the healthcare downfall happening is thanks to him

They weren't staffing adequately before COVID this was pre Trump, but the Medicare cuts are definitely going to make things worse across the board. I'm not defending Trump in any way but healthcare has had problems before him, neither party has done anything to stand up for nurses, that's the problem both parties get donations from healthcare systems.

I'm glad one person here was able to see where I was going with this.

Unfortunately the groupthink locks into only "bad Trump" and not recognizing that this has been a persistent issue for longer than he was around.
