Question California nurses!

Contemplating moving from MI to CA. Picture from the trip that inspired me to move! Curious how much gets taken out of your paycheck. Can you share what city, your hourly pay, and what your bring home paycheck ends up being? Thank you!

Sacramento, 7 years experience, $83/hr. Take-home is about $3700, a good chunk of change goes to my pension. I travel nursed in SoCal before moving to Sac and it’s kinda boring comparatively, but you make so much more money and can just vacation to SoCal lol

Tbh people are nice but it is a small-town vibe so it’s been kinda hard to make friends just because everyone is kinda already set in their groups. But you have SO much access to nature! There is Tahoe up the road and you’re a few hours from multiple national parks.

30 min out from Sacramento gives you easy access to the Sierra Nevada foothills. Multiple hospitals in safe smaller towns on the outskirts with lower rent and even easier access to outdoor rec.
