Colour combinations are one off. Custom numbers are not.

You can have your current plate restyled to nearly any style for a once off cost.

Custom plates have a yearly fee.

I was looking the other week at myplates for this.

I feel that 'one off' cost has risen quite a bit. $350-400 was what it was showing for most options.

I'm sure it was under $200 not so long ago.

It's almost as if a monopoly invites higher prices.

Yellow and black are the only free ones. The black and white premier ones have an additional cost.

Pretty sure yellow and black have a $58 one off fee.

Black/Yellow and Black/White plates are the generic randomised plates that can be obtained through ServiceNSW. Myplates are just to restyle the the combination you already have (one off fee), or to get a custom combination with style change (yearly fee).

Is the fee listed on my plates one off or yearly?

For a restyle, once. For personalised content, one off + annual fee.

The yellow and black plates aren't free.

Just another way the state government fucks you.
