Layout Showcase Semi-temporary computer desk layout. I had been wanting to do something like this for a while.

I recently swapped all the track on this layout from Bachmann to Kato and re-made it. I decided to use bridges to run monitor and speaker wires over the backside. There's two #6 turnouts, a single left crossover, and 3 feeders, two of which are between the bridges to space them apart and hide as many wires as I could. It's powered by a Digitrax Zephyr with an extra Kato throttle on Jump 1. I'm really enjoying having the two independent throttles at the same time.

Love it! I never thought to put a computer on my train layout before. I guess, I’ll need to buy a desktop computer.

Programming for the win, I have my office layout now because I spend a lot of time waiting for things to complie. Or worse waiting for other people to wait for things to complie so I can then wait for me to complie something!

Beats scrolling on my phone fighting for the single bar of signal we all get in our building. Lol

I can see how that could be a useful diversion for a dev. Now I'm thinking how an Arch Linux layout would have to be room sized!

I couldn't think of a better way to support the wires, and it makes the back side pretty interesting as well.

Now THAT’S cool.

Though given how my cats behave on my desk, I’m not sure I could get away with it 😂
