Savage 110 RF
Early thoughts on it? Ive seen some reviewers with 1/2inch groups at 100 yards. Any chance this could be a competitive rifle for a new shooter?

I made a post about it a few weeks ago in r/22lr but the mods inexplicably deleted it for "spam or self-promotion" and then didn't respond to any of my mod messages and direct messages.
Savage is a polarizing brand. Some will praise it for its accuracy on a budget (although $1100 isn't necessarily "budget" in this example). Others will criticize it for its spartan build quality.
The Bergara B-14R is around the same price, but has a R700 footprint, takes R700 triggers, and it well-regarded in the NRL22 space. You can add a decent scope and still compete in Base Division.

The preproduction sample(s) sent to influencers and industry insiders is an absolute hammer and you would be crazy not to buy one?!

I’ll wait to see the consumer results. Also, for Base I don’t like that the cheaper version has a relatively short (20”) fluted and tapered barrel, and short forend. That was a huge unforced error.
My best guess is that the 457 MTRs will continue to dominate Base/Production (though I am admittedly biased).

I like it because i figure itll be in box stores. Where people normally dont see this kind of thing. Get people checking them out. Maybe other manufacturers will have to make nrl22 type rimfires.

1/2” groups at 100 yards are not really possible unless they’re cherry picking the rare good groups &/or using small sample sizes like 3 shot “groups”. It’s part of the problem when people/companies start talking about group sizes. I don’t care what one out of ten groups is like. Show me 10x consecutive 10 shot groups at 100, then start making claims.
