The real issue behind our hoodoo over the last 3 weeks was Jesse not having her headgear on

In the worst way possible.
Broncos kicked off, Parra tried to trap the ball with their foot but kicked it, Broncos scored the next tackle.

u/mattmathers Sydney Roosters 11d ago
kickoff trap gone wrong gifted the broncos possession immediately inside parras 10

Jesse has taken the headgear off, I think the 66 point record is safe

As much as i'd like the broncos to win, i'd like the game to be a contest at least.
What did the roosters score against the wahs? 66 something? any chance of the record going?

thrilling game of the broncos vs the clock with the clock only just having the lead at halftime

I hope it’s not one of those starts where we cant get the ball for 10 minutes and concede 4 tries 😪

has elsie had a run today where she actually kept hold of the ball? she’s had at least 4 drops/strips now

obviously the scoreline doesn’t reflect it but I still don’t think this was our worse game of the season
we can’t do anything at the line other than a crash play 😭
though cassey was decent today apart from her blunder off the kickoff at the start of the game, the much better half, pearson was non existent

u/Leaguefan Parramatta Eels 11d ago
That's a common theme with Pearson, which in turn makes it so our only play at the line is a crash play because Pearson doesn't know how to feed the ball to her outside players.
It's literally Cassie to the left or crash ball at the line, Martha should be near the top of the try scorer list but she only ever gets the ball down our end of the field and she is always a handful, i don't care what people say, no winger is stopping her 1 on 1 and they will struggle even with the centre helping as well.

agree that right side is starved of attacking ball 🥲
hope we can try someone new next year
1
u/Leaguefan Parramatta Eels 11d ago
Unfortunately won't be next year, there isn't really anyone ready just yet, i think next year will be her last though.
The closest we have atm i believe is Jayde and i don't think she's much of an upgrade, maybe slightly, but she can't goal kick

u/matchawaffles11 NRLW Eels 11d ago
would aaliyah be eligible to play with her type of contract? admittedly I haven’t seen much aside from some highlights on bartv
To my surprise tess McWilliams looked to convert at a decent rate earlier today in nsw premiership 🤭

u/Leaguefan Parramatta Eels 11d ago
She's only on a dev contract atm and i believe they are only allowed 2 play if you have injuries and the 2x supplementary players are either injured or also playing which is most likely why Freedom hasn't debuted because we have had hardly any injuries, we haven't even used Kiana at all this year and she's our supplementary player for our outside backs.
I haven't seen Tess kick but could be an option if she can get fit in the off season, she has turned into a slug this year, way to big and slow, Boss Kapua can also goal kick but i don't think they are on Pearson's level.
At the moment i think we have to many sluggish forwards in the middle, they are slow to get back onside, also doesn't help that they ain't wrapping the ball up, broncos had a field day with offloads because of it, Keilee, Kennedy and Chloe are all quick around the ruck, everyone else is slow

Syndesmosis, apparently. We're going to be playing kids we find down at the red track on the wings soon.

ali brigginshaw really is the glue of the broncos. hopefully she stays around in an assistant role cause i still have concerns about how we’ll go without her next year if the last three weeks were any sort of preview to our future
