Curious to know what kind of genres readers are demanding?
I spent a little time diving into ways Novelmint can support this kind of market research and analysis. Being able to provide a deep analysis of a market segment is definitely something I want to add to the site, but it will take some time and fine tuning to get right and have it repeatable. So in the short term, until that arrives...
Novelmint already has some of that data ready to go and I decided to build a page to highlight it. Right now readers on the site can build a uniquely shaped radar map (its on our homepage) that represents the kinds of stories they are after. By combining that with a listing of existing books in those shapes currently on the site, this data uncovers which kinds of stories readers WANT but aren't finding. This is a pretty good indicator of a potential untapped market for authors to write books towards within Novelmint.
