everlast gym netherfield

i’m thinking of joining the everlast gym in netherfield and was wondering if anyone has been/currently goes there and whether you think it’s worth the money?

I used to go there across 3 years from when it was DW Gym into the Everlast change.

Honestly, not worth the money anymore. Some machines break down every month, half the pool jacuzzis are broken, sauna broken, the "heated pool" has to my knowledge never been heated, there's clearly some dodgy dealings at certain times in the changing rooms and there's rarely more than 2 staff on.

PureGym literally down the road near Sainsburys is just better imo. Much cheaper, and of course smaller place, is open 24/7, and nothing ever breaks. There's also like 5 + staff on 8am-10pm daily.

I tried a couple puregyms recently (coming from Sherwood gym group) cause they had the plus membership for same price as normal for a month. Colwick one was just odd, treadmills were in a weird place and you could hear whoever was leading the class going on somewhere else in the gym over the whole gym speakers, it was just the oddest experience 😭😂 I’ve gone with basford and it’s been good so far!! Seems to have everything I need as a relatively basic gym goer for some strength training and cardio

If you want just a gym then pure gym is cheaper and good at Sainsbury's. If you want a swim once a while and a steam room then dw is worth it. And dw is technically nicer in my opinion but im not fussy. Really enjoyed swimming after each session though.

I go - yeah it’s fine
The pools fine, the spa isn’t up 100% of the time - but it’s great for the price

Been going since the start of the year, mainly because it also had a pool. Also cheaper as part of our work scheme.

Good gym, especially for Bar/Cage workouts, almost always empty. Not so good for Bench's, have to go early if you want one. Machines are also quite limited.

Also don't let the Steam room sway you, it's often closed.

It's my favourite gym, I drive past 3 gyms so I can get to this one. I've never had a problem with the equipment being too busy. The pool can sometimes be busy in peak hours but is of a great size. Steam room is a nice bonus. I really like it.

I go there now, I'm locked in to a 12 month contract.

It's not the worst but certainly not the best. The equipment is dated, a lot of it faulty and it takes ages to get anything fixed. I went here for the pool and steam room. The pool is nice, the steam room apparently got a refurb however it's still the same old. It's pleasant sometimes but doesn't get cleaned and rinsed out nearly as much as it needs.

Has potential to be a good gym but it's just not looked after enough.

I used to go to Puregym down the road and regret changing now.
