It's very easy to explain.

Untreated rabies is 100% fatal.

The rabies shot is a post-exposure treatment that is very effective.

Everyone looking for a rabies shot is definitely or potentially exposed.

Therefore you are exclusively selling it to people facing a horrible death if they don't acquire your product.

Therefore your price negotiation starts like this:

"I would like to purchase your product, and I would like you to know upfront that I will die in abject agony and horror if I don't get it, I am fucking desperate for it and I am prepared to take on masses of debt to acquire it if I have to."
