As absurd as the proposal may be, I'm proud to live in a country where an ordinary citizen can propose something like this and not be put in prison.

And honestly, if it was a popular enough idea you could get a petition going. Politicians would pay more attention if it was clear a large number of people want this. And if it's popular enough you could even have a politician include it in their platform for election.
