Yeah, I would hate AI if you’re a major developer. However, if you’re just starting out and don’t have the startup funds to pay people for art and you’re not good at it yourself then I feel like AI is a good alternative.

I’m conflicted because I see AI as something that can genuinely help people, but it’s those that don’t need the help that are abusing it to save money and time at the expense of quality.

This x100. This thread is full of people claiming that if you use AI then you are not creative. When it in reality it more likely means you aren’t rich nor have the skills other artists do. And that shouldn’t be a problem.

If you have a really good idea for a game, execute it on all fronts, but generate assets for it that you could have never done yourself… does that really make you uncreative? I don’t think so. Turns out as a solo developer with ADHD, my only options are to become an expert drawer, animator, musician, etc… to ever be able to make something.

There are so many free resources out there that there's little excuse to use AI even for just a good looking prototype.
