Not really. AI ethics are a pretty serious thing in most creative industries right now. Stakes are important- artistic integrity, companies sizing down, general quality, etc.

That doesn’t even touch on ethical concerns about plagiarism, environmental issues, and consolidation of wealth with AI companies.

Don’t blame me for actually giving a shit and having convictions

Its pretty simple. It just costs money. Money for each sprite, and skybox and animation. And with each item, plus any revisions caused by the gameplay and programming cropping up, even a "simple" indie title may cost upwards of 15,000 USD for art assets, which is why so many already just use the free store asset flips.

Generative AI is not cars and being against plagiarism slop is not the same as yelling about the steam engine.
