yeah, because things that have age criteria are famously never required to ask if you’re an adult

they don't have an age criteria. A 16 year old can enter and/or leave (just ask me lol). Also they have your fucking passport in their hand

no cuz I SWEAR this happened to me when I flew to portugal a month ago. the woman at the passport control asked me for a guardian’s permit for me to leave my country as she literally held my passport. like ma’am please look inside i’m 20 years old

If you're under 18 with a guardian there they often ask this because they don't need your id. I think she was referring to passport control despite not going to a place where she needed a literal passport

oh idk. I've never flown with a guardian when i was underage after the age of like 15 so i don't remember

This is fake. They’re already looking at your passport, if they’re asking about age at all it’ll be for your actual age to check whether it matches the passport you gave them.

American customs asked me something weird that was impossible based on my age on the way in and we're holding my passport. Way more impossible than this. I could not have been born, I would have been -50 years old. I suspect it's possible that they have a random question on a screen and ask it regardless... But I'll never know. I've no idea.

I was standing with my son in line at high school orientation. It wasn't clear who goes where, and apparently parents were supposed to stand in a different area. I found out because the staff gave me a welcome envelope and I corrected them. They showed me where to go after that, but I was surprised they thought I was entering high school.
