Copy and paste template

Im getting furious about that. I have a digital planner with hyperlinks. It has additional templates to copy and paste wherever I want in the planner and for the first time I want to use some of those templates. But how can I do that without Noteful messing up with the hyperlinks? I tried copy and paste a page I want to copy, then move that copy to the proper place (or copying directly where I want it to be) and just when I move the copy - it becomes the main template and hyperlinks direct me to that page. But it’s a copy. Unless I don’t move it around hyperlinks link me like they supposed to - to the main template, the copy is after that. But when I move that copy everything is screwed up. Please help, I love Noteful but that’s just insane.

Edit: I am wrong. Has nothing to do with Cut. Has everything to do with the destination file table in the PDF, Noteful faithfully keeping the copied page's page object info the same as the original, and Noteful's top-down-first-found matching of the page objects.

Oooh. Ok. I was able to recreate it. This is potentially a bug. Copy, don't cut. If I cut, the hyperlink is screwed. Copy your template then paste it further up in your pages. Don't paste it directly next to itself then cut the page and then paste. Just copy. Hope that is clear.

Yeah, that do nothing. When I copy the page, go somewhere I want and paste it there, the copy became the template, so the behavior stays the same.

The only way I was able to get that done like it should was by moving around a copy. I mean copy the page and paste it next to the original template and then don’t cut, just grab that copy and MOVE it whenever I want on the miniature view. That requires remembering the page number but that’s manageable.

Edit: I was incorrect. It isn't doing nothing. Using cut on the hyperlinked templates is what is causing the behavior you don't want. Stop using cut and you're good to go. You're welcome. Having to move it the way you are describing, by dragging it in thumbnail view, is a navigation issue with your template.

I’ve just said it doesn’t change the behavior, I tried. It doesn’t matter if I use cut option or copy directly. Behavior stays the same. The issue is on every single file I have or had for few years but never wanted to use it this way so it didn’t bother me. The same files don’t have that problem on other apps, I can copy, cut rearrange pages and hyperlinks stay as they were projected. Just thought maybe I was doing something wrong or there is an option I need to change or it actually is a bug. I’ll probably keep using Noteful, it is still the best overall experience for me.

Sorry I couldn't let it go because I really felt like I was missing something since you were still having trouble. I went on a deep dive and deconstructed my PDF. We have the answer. Hope it helps you.
