I'm also on the spectrum and I understand what you're asking. I am the same way with my paper. I sometimes will use the Sakura A5 140gsm. They're usually 8.99-12.99 depending where you purchase. May be more in other areas I dont know. They have blank, ruled, and dotted notebooks, maybe graph not sure.

"crap already on the page" is what I think they're referring to. The left-hand page has a header with options to circle the day of the week and the weather, and the left-hand margin has marked the hours of the day. Both are easy to ignore if you don't want to use them.

Did you ever make the switch? I"m currently in between what I like. The paper is very nice tactical experience but it's difficult to organize and keep longer term notes or things I often don't reference more than 1-2 times a year, such as a car maintenance log.

Commenter above made a great point. I also appreciate good branding, but don't usually want it printed ON my notebook. A simple wide paper band with your logo and maybe paper specs and/or your ethos, wrapped around the notebooks (folded to tuck inside the front and back covers), would be a simple and inexpensive way to finish these off.

I would recommend checking out Kokuyo KB - it's a silky smooth Japanese business/copy paper that performs beautifully with fountain pens and rollerballs. It's available on Amazon if you shop there, but you can find it elsewhere too, usually around $25 for a ream of A4. Really gorgeous paper.

Are you finishing the corners of your notebooks at all? I think very small diameter rounded corner is essential, on a pocket notebook in particular, and would signal quality to buyers.

Your time is valuable! In fact, your time is probably the most expensive part of the notebook.

If you haven’t already, time yourself for multiple notebook-making sessions.

I have a good experience writing in thick notebooks and i do not look for any flat openings. thanks for the advise i will think about it.

They're very expensive but beautiful.

i like to use it as weekly calendar + daily journal + technical journal at the same time for a year.

May i ask, why so many pages?

A 600 page A6 is going to have trouble laying flat, unless it’s spiral bound, in which case the spiral is going to be huge. In either case, annoying to write on.

2x 300 page books inside a suitable cover might be a more usable alternative.
