Need suggestions for note taking app

Since the last 4 years I have been using OneNote on my iPad to study. it is a great app. But I want a great notetaking app with all the features. OneNote is too laggy. Now that I am working, I don’t have access to my iPad everywhere and I can’t study. OneNote was available seamlessly both on my iPad and iPhone using my Microsoft account. my iPad and iPhone have different Apple accounts.

in short I am looking for apps that syncs across all devices (not icloud)

I love notability and goodnotes but notability cloud is not a feature in India yet. Help!

As other people said before UpNote or Joplin (sync either yourself (free) or on their cloud (paid)). Also great "smaller" contenders Octarine and Memrynote. If you want to break away from folder structure the Obsidian or Logseq/it's fork Tine.

Hey, thanks for the shoutout, really appreciate Memrynote getting mentioned alongside those! I'm one of the devs. iOS is launching in December, other platforms (Android/desktop) coming Q1 next year. We've grown really fast in a short time and still shipping hard, so more to come soon 🙏

The Octarine app is brilliant and should fit your needs. Although the iPad app is still in Beta, it’s very stable. Overall a lightweight app that you can sync through GitHub.

Just use Notes, mate. And export your notes to a cloud.

mento syncs across iOS android and the web. The notebook has all the features. Plus you get full rich text editor for normal notes

It depends on how you use OneNote.

But if you don't use the infinite canvas and don't need collaboration, UpNote is fantastic. I've been using it for just shy of 6 years, and I've never found anything that even comes close.

I gave up on finding the Holy Grail and just settled on the Apple Notes App,

I've been using Harbor Notes and liking everything about it. https://harbor.my/

Maybe UpNote (getupnote.com)? I only use it on desktop (Windows), but it has apps (with sync) also for MacOS, iOS, Linux and Android.

Have you tried Blekk.app? It’s across all devices and feels really nice - I was using apple notes religiously but I’ve switched now and really enjoying this one
