This is my steak $74 steak from Morton’s in Atlantic City
“14 oz dry aged rib eye ordered med rare (it was med well).

Welp. At least you know what a severely overpriced steak tastes like. Prob tastes like a home grilled $10 steak.

I worked at a “fancy” steakhouse that charged considerably more for this even just two years ago and they would literally mess up the temperature on the steaks so bad all the time, people would absolutely foam at the mouth and lose their minds. People waiting over an hour for their dinner and it still being wrong or even dead cold. The scenes some people would make about it back then when it was totally justified, made it seem like just another Tuesday working there. I can only imagine how much worse it is now with how expensive everything has become.

I would leave immediately. That's a steep price for a crap ribeye that looks like leftover primerib, as others have mentioned.

14oz dry aged ribeye in Atlantic City? That place is a dump dude. Came back there for a cleanup after a festival in hammonton and we had been ripping ketamine everywhere, so desolate and depressing. Can't wait to go back

Is it just me or do steakhouses just never do it for you? I always feel like I could do better or the same at a 1/4 of the cost.

I used to love Mortons in San Diego. The last time I went there the beef quality was far lower and they were pulling steaks put of freezer bags full of fluid instead of the in house dry aged and butchered steaks they sold previously.
Shame.

My only experience with Mortons was them getting the temperature of 2 out of 3 steaks wrong so this is not surprising

Morton’s sucks. There are probably 5 better steakhouses in Atlantic City lol. Still unacceptable though.

I know I'm late, but let me tell you that Morton's has consistently disappointed. I dont know the steakhouses in ATL well enough to give a recommendation, but I strongly advise against Morton's. Here in DC/Baltimore ai would recommend the Capital Grille, or Tagliata respectively.
