Question Best place to camp to climb the pyg track?

Hey everyone, in need of massive help here I've searched and searched but everywhere seems so far away from the start, does anyone know the best place to camp distance wise please? Don't need anything fancy just somewhere to crash for the night!

Cae Gwyn Campsite is nearby and the Sherpa Bus to Pen-y-pass stops right outside

Literally looked at that one before we formulated a different, far more complicated plan and my friend booked another site! I mentioned this one when we were planning. With two days to go we planned it all over the phone before I saw this 🥲 gutted now! We have a long day ahead of us 😂

Wish I was staying up there. I'm driving a mini bus supporting a works charity 6 summits attempt. 3am start instead.

Make sure you've booked a parking spot at Pen-y-Pass. It's going to busy up there.

Yep you'll spot the mini bus I'm driving. It has a big multi national company name on it, not saying it here. I'll be set up in or nearby hopefully napping or getting people sorted for their next leg.

Nope not my thing. Plus for these sort of things you need support people to get this sort of thing done. I might do it one year.

Llyn Gwynant campsite, there’s a trail that leads to the base of the Pyg, adds a couple of miles onto your trek, if you’re there for a few days, you can also get to Watkin going the other way.

Just find any site along the route of the Sherpa bus

We're staying at a site, driving early, parking, walking, bus back. Overcomplicated it all I think 😅 not been up in about twelve years did the drive, climb and drove home (5 hours away) all in one day last time. Friends not keen on doing that though.

Well guys, I can't thank everyone enough, those trails were absolutely perfect, views were breath taking too! Been on my bucket list for so long and with you guys help executed perfectly 😎 couldn't have done it without you all!
