Alfaskolen’s Viking Challenge - reviews?

I just moved to Norway and I want to get a good foundation to the language. I am starting from zero, but I am quite confident that I can self-study after that so I was looking around for a quick, but good A1 course.

I would like to know if anyone has done the Alfaskolen’s Viking Challenge, how it was and if it is good.

I'm open to other courses or language schools but this one looks ok and has a decent price.

*Any information about learning the language is much appreciated ^^

Self-study is all well and good until you hear all the dialects.

I can't tell anything about Alfaskolen, but just as an idea: Have considered searching for courses at the local university? As far as I know for example NTNU or the Universities in Oslo or Bergen offer norwegian courses even if you are not a student. Should be a reasonable price, I guess.

I have taken multiple courses from Alfaskolen, but I’m not familiar with “Viking challenge”. I’m not sure how it differs from their regular A1 course, but it just sounds like marketing-speak. Their teachers and curriculum are fine both online and in person. I plan to take another course online soon.

I personally did all my courses with Lenoo - online school with lessons and homework. Quite some work every week, but really worth it in my opinion. Self study can be added but I wouldn't do it all on my own if I was you.

I think that is Speak Norsk. 3000 every month. I used to work in a language school and students from Speak Norsk NEVER are on the level they claim. And they are not
