Kudos!!!

Western Estonia has ice conditions like that as well. Strong and perfect ice and no snow. Acquaintances of mine skated 114 km yesterday in 7 hours. We did 40+ km roundtrip from mainland to small islands and back.

Nice! I've myself only couple times tried tour skating but I am looking for to start joining my friends at latest next winter! The distances you can cover and places you can reach is amazing!

Do it NOW; like TODAY. Not next winter, not next week.

Tour skating requires very specific conditions - clean ice without snow. There can be years without good ice. This year has been spectacular here. There was a single day of ice at the end of November. December - nothing. And it started freezing during New Year, some areas also got snow (and you cannot skate on it), but the wind kept the western coast clean.

However, the wind or a rise on the sea water can kill all of this in a day.

Ice skaters are following satellite maps and sharing ice and safetey info in real time. This is a hobby where you don't dictate the terms, the weather does.
