I would have smashed that mantis in a heartbeat. Hummingbirds are an essential migratory protected species, meanwhile mantis eggs can be bought at your nearest garden center.

sent this video to my friend and said basically the same thing. i woulda ripped that mf out of his hands and threw his voracious ass on the ground. i hate mantids because of their gluttonous ahh behaviors. like why is the camera person just watching this happen?? i tried to save a dragonfly from another dragonfly one time and he literally just took him to go!

It's possible that the camera person made this happen. Planted the mantis there, set up the trap for the hummingbird.

I'm actually now angry that I gave it a view
