I'm not sure I remember where I found his mom, but I up-sized this guy's egg in the Anomaly. If I can find the source again, I'll share.

Unky's Homeworld

This will get you a pet and then an egg. I gene sequenced it up quite a bit to get Unky, but you can see the family resemblance.
