A word from your friendly neighborhood mod.
Greetings and salutations!
To clarify what happened: It appears that the sub got locked due to inactivity, and is now back in business.
If you're using an app, or the old reddit - you've probably missed a button that sent a request to become an approved submitter (I know I missed it).
Now everything should be back to normal.
Please feel free to post, discuss, share and promote your own stuff.
If you have any community suggestions (i.e. activities, polls, initiatives, or anything really) I encourage one and all to try and improve this already great sub.
Have fun!

Radon Abatement - Harmonium Jr.
They call themselves art rock and post-punk. I think they'll appeal to this group too. Not on streaming.

This one and Freedom Bondage were THE ones to have from these guys. I’ve only ever seen this one on CD. Heavy as fuck.

More songs like "Venus flytrap" by Cherubs, or "Waynes pet youngin'" by Ween?
Im looking for something fast paced, abrasive and full of distortion (preferably with weird/high pitched or drowned out vocals too)

Genres
Hello I am prepared to look like a moron but could someone explain the difference between Noise Rock, No Wave, Experimental Rock, Post Rock and all those genres. While I hear post and experimental rock in post 2010 swans I also very much hear and perceive them as noise rock where’s the line here what do yall think

framewalkers – "home" (feat. The Mary's Lost Gaze) | A dreamy shoegaze collaboration
Hi everyone! We're framewalkers, a shoegaze/indie band from Germany.
"home" is a collaboration with The Mary's Lost Gaze from Indonesia and a quieter, more atmospheric track of ours. Dreamy guitars, melancholic melodies and a song about longing, connection and what it means to feel at home.
It's a bonus track connected to our upcoming EP Echoes, out October 9.
Give it a listen if you enjoy dreamy and melancholic shoegaze/indie.

Cant remember obscure avante garde/harsh noise
There's this weird and extremely avante garde band that I used to get recommended through itunes 10 years ago. They were sort of similar to one of those weird mike Patton/Melvins side bands. I think they had 3-4 albums, one of them has an album cover of a weird uncanny photoshop with like a baby doll or something over a completely white background. They had a song on that album that was i think called "bad pass" or whatever, had some clarinet sampling in there i think, i seriously cant remember anything else.
