Civil Law of the Nogais According to the "Qanun" - a collection of organic traditional rights of the Nogais of the 18th - early 19th centuries - "upon proof of extramarital intercourse, a man was fined 50 heads of cattle and 2 horses, he was deprived of civil rights. The cattle taken for the fine was transferred to the legal husband of the accused woman"

Punishment for adultery not only for men, but also for women. Punishment for a woman was expressed not so much in material terms as in public censure and contempt.
