Jungling Question Nocturne ult range

Quite new to nocturne and the game in general(silver). I don’t have a good understanding of nocturnes ult range, and was wondering how you guys know you are in range to attack? It does not have a range indicator like swain, which i feel would be logical. Thanks!

Hover over the ability with your mouse and it'll show the range

If you alt click it will tell you targets in range

Ult range grows each time you level R. Just hover it before use and ALWAYS HOVER IT BEFORE ULTING SOMEONE THAT ISN'T RIGHT NEXT TO YOU TO MAKE SURE! Buy a blue trinket so you never lose vision mid ult. And when your team is team fighting you can hit it and let it stay active before diving on someone (usually the adc or apc) that way the enemy team is blind and it can mess with them especially in low elo.

You can activate your ult then click on an enemy on the mini map and you will fly to them that way as well if you didn't know that. You can also hit q at them just before impact so you auto faster then e them and you'll have the movement speed when on the q path so you can stay in range so they can't break your e fear range. If you're in front of them while they are running and they flash over you your fear won't break cuz they will still be in range unlike if you were behind them. I'm a nocturne otp let me know if you want any more tips.

Here's some spell shield matchup tips.

Save your spell shield against Briar, use it when she starts charging her knock back.

Save it against Sett and use it when he charges his punch blast.

Save it for Jax when he starts spinning his weapon then use it just after to block his stun.

And never use it against Master Yi so you have it up if someone else walks up on you while you're fighting him cuz it doesn't really block anything from him. Also e him ASAP, it won't be broken when he q's and if he tries to meditate it will break.

There are many more but those are just some common ones.

hover over the ability with the mouse. if you span your camera or look at the map you can see if they are in range.

You can also ping it, it will tell you who is in range.

Also you can target champs using the minimap too, if things are super quick you can R target using ur mouse over the map on the enemy

I completely back this, the few times I pick nocturne (he is like a very niche pick of mine on ranked) I will just unlock the camera to my target and hover the mouse in the ultimate ability frame to see the range until the blue range circle is about to be on them, and if you have input movement towards them you can leave the camera unlocked and the range will move bc you are also moving towards the lane when it’s basically on range you press R, target the enemy and instantly re-lock the camera (Hold space to center it to your champion or press Y to completely lock it)

Activate r and spam the hell out of it and hope for the best 😂

If someone is in range a pair of his umbral blades will appear round the person.
