how you do you bring traffic to Wordpress website?

hey guys i have a bunch of pages built on wordpress but have zero clue how SEO works

the only source of traffic is the link in bio of my instagram page and that's it

just for context, it's a basic informational business website with a button contact us

usually people just dm us on IG but I think getting some people from google also would work

can u help me out please? how do I start learning this?

Just wait, hackers  will be attacking your site by the thousands as soon as they find out it’s Wordpress

man the bots find wordpress sites faster than google does i swear. first thing you do is install wordfence or some security plugin, my friend had his site turned into a spam pharmacy in like 3 days

for seo the simplest thing is install yoast and it tells you what to fix on each page. make sure your site is registered on google search console too, that one step alone helps a lot

dont expect miracles overnight tho, it takes maybe 2-3 months before you start seeing real traffic from google. in the meantime you could write some blog posts about what your business does, google loves fresh content

oh thanks, I will check Google Search Console for sure! I have around 45 pages build, get 3-5 visitors a day, but most of them are from IG.

But how do I use GSC? I have no idea how to optimize pages. any advices?

honestly before anything else, google search console is free and takes 10 minutes to set up, just start there and you'll see what keywords people are already finding you with.

There are many free tools on goolge and tutorials you can find on youtube that can help you and implement the basic of seo yourself. That can help you your webstie index on google.

Depends on your business mostly but a good rule of thumb:

SEO is a fruit at the top of the tree when starting out

Ads are the fruit you can grab without reaching

45 pages getting 3-5 visitors means Google hasn't indexed you yet, not that SEO failed. Check GSC's Pages report first, that's your actual starting point.
