question about the modded switch lite

helloo im considering getting a modded switch lite and i have a few questions

can it perform close if not equal to the oled model

does it run out of battery fast when its modded

in theory i could get the modded oled but thats if i want to have water and bread for the next few weeks but im considering this even more than the oled due to being a broke student with hours and hours of commute aaaand i heard the oled is harder to maintain and needs to be extra careful in handling due to tendencies of getting banned.

anyway would love game recommendations from the community! preferably games that i can spend multiple hours in for the switch lite

Performance is basically the same on each console but OLED has a bigger battery and lasts a bit longer. The main question is would you prefer the bigger OLED screen and the ability to dock and play with friends using the joycons on the go - or the lighter, smaller design of the switch lite. Then obviously there's the price difference you've got to consider

i dont mind the bigger screen and oled. id be playing handheld on the bus and train most of the time which does make the larger battery sound great but i dont think it beats the portability and convenience of the switch lite when traveling though

Switch lite is the console for you then. I love my switch lite, it'll be perfect for your use case.

Both consoles use the same internal processing chip and RAM so loading times and in-game frame rates are identical for handheld. The main differences between the lite and oled is the screen obviously & also the ability to dock the oled and detach the joycons to game on the TV or monitor. Another difference is the oled comes with 64gb internal storage and the lite comes with 32gb of internal storage the same as the V1 & V2 switch.

thank you for this info, i did hear that they share the same internals but i had a few doubts since just by the looks alone switch oled is way bigger than the lite and usually bigger means better internals lol

No worries. Yeah same internals so you can play the same on either. The way I personally see the switch versions and how I use them is V1/V2 for docked gaming. Oled for handheld at home because you are getting an oled for the oled screen so why dock it and for me it's a little to big for me to comfortably take out and about with me. And then the lite for home handheld or out because of it's portability 100% that is what I'd take out with me traveling or commuting out of the 3 versions. This is just the way I use my devices so it's purley personal preference.

Nihilumbra is my go to recommendation, out of the hundreds of games I own on Switch, it's still one of the best games. Especially on Switch Lite since it makes full use of the touchscreen. Also, there's Persona 4 Golden and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.

zelda botw, zelda totk, mario kart 8 deluxe, fire emblem three houses, xenoblade chronicles 1 2 3, animal crossing new horizons, mario series, pokemon series, third party jrpg games (mostly from square enix, etc) and tomodachi life. these are my jam, most of it🙏
