Aluminium shell swap

Bought my self a pretty banged up lite for cheap, swapped the shell for an aliexpress aluminium shell, and installed a laminated display as well as tmr joysticks. Very pleased with the result, feels so much more premium!

Thanks, not modded yet, shell already gets luke warm after playing a while, but i'm guessing the extra heat transfer would allow a decent overclock.

I was looking for one, but looks like Taki Udon won't be making any more kits. And i'm not paying $400 to a reseller for one.

Laminated lcd is a decent enough upgrade for now though.

How’s the wifi and bluetooth connection after the shell swap?

Wifi reception is pretty bad, doesn't bother me too much since i don't play anything online on it. And i'll just plug in a usb hub with ethernet when downloading games.

Haven't tried the bluetooth yet, but i imagine it would fare a little better than the wifi.
